The South Hadley Canal Park Committee and Town of South Hadley will hold a dedication ceremony for the newly named and recently renovated Ted Belsky Overlook at Hadley Falls Canal Park at 11am Saturday May 12. The Committee will unveil the new plaque which will be permanently displayed in Ted’s memory. The Overlook is located on Canal Street adjacent to the Red Cliff Canoe Club. The public is invited to attend this free and open-to-all event.
Recent renovation of the Overlook by the Town of South Hadley is completed. Please join with Ted’s family and colleagues to acknowledge Ted’s enduring efforts to document the historic significance of the Hadley Falls Canal and to applaud his advocacy for its protection, conservation, and preservation.
Ted's friends and relatives will present to share a few words about their memories and maybe share a few stories as well.
