BBQ Bash Membership Drive at Brunelle's Marina

Join us under the tent at Brunelle’s Marina, 1 Alvord Street, South Hadley. Invite your friends who are not yet members of the Chamber so they can get to know us. It will be an evening of good food, lawn games, interesting conversation, some door prizes, and a 50/50 raffle as extra incentive. The town charter of Granby was signed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on June 11, 1768.  We celebrate this historical event every year on the second full weekend in June (as close to the original date as possible!) 2018 marks our 250th celebration, and we are planing events throughout the year to help celebrate this wonderful mile stone of our small town.

ATTENTION ALL GOLFERS!  The SHG Chamber will be joining the Greater Holyoke Chamber for a day of golf at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley. This golf tourney celebrates the Holyoke Chamber’s 50th year. The cost for the day is $150. Registration and lunch will begin at 10:30am, with tee off beginning at 12. Your registration includes lunch, your round of golf and cart, a tourney tee shirt, refreshments on the course, and a dinner back at the clubhouse.

Dedication Ceremony: Ted Belsky Overlook at Hadley Falls Canal Park

The South Hadley Canal Park Committee and Town of South Hadley will hold a dedication ceremony for the newly named and recently renovated Ted Belsky Overlook at Hadley Falls Canal Park at 11am Saturday May 12.  The Committee will unveil the new plaque which will be permanently displayed in Ted’s memory. The Overlook is located on Canal Street adjacent to the Red Cliff Canoe Club.  The public is invited to attend this free and open-to-all event. 

Recent renovation of the Overlook by the Town of South Hadley is completed.  Please join with Ted’s family and colleagues to acknowledge Ted’s enduring efforts to document the historic significance of the Hadley Falls Canal and to applaud his advocacy for its protection, conservation, and preservation.

Ted's friends and relatives will present to share a few words about their memories and maybe share a few stories as well.

The 9th Annual Leprechaun Plunge at Brunelle's Marina

The 9th Annual Leprechaun Plunge, "The Coolest Party in Town", is back!

The Plunge is an annual event helping selected local charities. Plunge participants raise pledges for a charity from our list in the weeks leading up to the Plunge and, on the day of the event, plunge into the frigid waters of the Connecticut River at Bunelle's Marina (1 Alvord Street, South Hadley). The party begins at 11am, and the Plunge is at 2PM.

This is a FREE program open to anyone.  

The Chamber is very pleased to collaborate with the South Hadley Library to provide a free business educational event to the business community and the public.

Speaker:  Paulina Borrego is a Science & Engineering Librarian at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  Soon after becoming a librarian in 2007 she took on the role of the Patent & Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) Librarian in 2009.  She is trained by the USPTO (United States Patent & Trademark Office) to educate patrons about patents and trademarks, the application process, and how to conduct an effective and thorough search.  She works in the UMass Amherst Science & Engineering Library which is open to the public.
